Beauty, simplicity and functionality were core values of the Nordic design movement of the mid-20th century and Ercol’s Lugo dining collection has clear references to these Scandinavian furniture design sensibilities. This timeless, yet forward looking furniture collection has a soft linear quality with slim tapered legs, rounded profiled frames and flush drawers and doors to the cabinets. The craftsmanship and design approach is highlighted by the distinctive horizontal shadow gap formed by lifting the top panels on the tables and cabinets away from the legs and exposing the beautifully crafted tenon joints. The handles are crafted directly into the solid doors and drawers, creating a horizontal rebate that curves down into a finger pull.
